The Vision The uniqueness of the Independent Assemblies of God International is its conviction of the sovereignty of the local church. We are eager for the Mighty Holy Spirit to have an instrument which is flexible in the "hands of our Lord" during this critical time of history.
We envision a continued outpouring of the Holy Spirit, breathing life and resurrection into His own body. It is imperative that ministers and churches are able to follow through on the mandate given by God without interference from an ecclesiastical hierarchy. For this we have been born!

As one fellowship in the many membered Body of Christ we seek to serve others throughout the nations of the world. By God's grace we will be obedient to:
Be and integral part of the continued outpouring of His Holy Spirit.
Help fulfill the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19,20)

About Us
Our History
The Independent Assemblies of God was birthed in the year 1918 as the Scandinavian Assemblies of God in the United States of America, Canada and Foreign Lands. It existed under this name from 1918 to 1935.In 1935 at an annual convention in Minneapolis, Minnesota the Scandinavian Assemblies of God merged with a group called the Independent Pentecostal Churches. The name of this new fellowship was, and to this day remains, the Independent Assemblies of God International.
Dr. A. W. Rasmussen, D.D., was the Founder of the Independent Assemblies of God. His ministry spanned the globe for over fifty years.
What We Believe in
• The Bible as the inspired and infallible Word of God (2 Timothy 3:15,16).
• One God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 18:19; Mark 12:29).
• The virgin birth of Christ, His vicarious, atoning death, bodily resurrection, and Ascension (Isaiah 7:44; Romans 8:34; Acts 1:10).
• Salvation through the blood of Jesus Christ (1 John 5:10; Romans 10:13-15).
• Water baptism by immersion (Matthew 8:19).
• The Lord's Supper - wine and bread, fellowship and memorial of His death (I Corinthians 11:26).
• Divine healing through the redemptive work of Christ on the cross (Isaiah 53:4; Matthew 8:16,17;James 5:13,14).
• The baptism of the Holy Spirit (Acts 2:4, 10:44-46;15:8,9).
• The sanctification power of the Holy Spirit which enables a believer to live a holy life (Hebrews 12:14; 1 Peter 1:15,16).
• The second coming of Jesus Christ (Acts 24:15; Luke 14:14; Revelations 19:7,9).
• Blessed hope resurrection and translation of those who have fallen asleep in Christ and those who are alive at His coming (1 Thessalonians 4:16,17).
• The final judgment of those who have not accepted Christ as Savior, with the devil and his angels in the Lake of Fire (Revelations 19:20, 20:11-15, 21:8).

Rev. Philip A Rasmussen, M.Div.,
is the General Overseer of the IAOGI. He is the Founder of Life Institute and has taught Christian principles for over four decades. He is a graduate from Wheaton College and earned a M.Div from Fuller Theological Seminary.
Dr. Clyde B. Wasdin, Th. D.,
is the Assistant General Overseer of the IAOGI. He has been a minister for over 50 years. He has pastored mega churches and ministered at conventions in 32 nations. He is a graduate of South Eastern College. He earned a Masters and Doctorate degree from the International Seminary in Plymouth (Orlando) Florida.
